Data Scientist

Job Description

As a Data Scientist at Twodots, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets from the retail industry to extract actionable insights. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business problems and develop data-driven solutions. You will be involved in all stages of the analytics lifecycle, from data collection and cleaning to model building and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Design and build interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and availability.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data science.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics.
• 5-10 years of experience in a data science or analytics role.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
• Experience working with retail or e-commerce data.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
